Hi, I’m Jesus Barreno, founder of Lux Detailer. My obsession with vehicle care began in Valencia, Venezuela, where I worked at a neighborhood car wash as a teenager and—in a move only a business-obsessed kid would make—eventually purchased that business while studying Business Administration. When I moved to the US at 19, I brought that same grit with me, working everywhere from luxury hotels to mini-golf courses just to learn the American way of service.
Before Lux Detailer became the premier mobile detailing agency it is today, I was balancing life as a church intern and a youth soccer coach. Looking back, it’s pretty funny—I was out there in my personal sedan with a few rags and OCD-level perfectionism, trying to turn every car into a showroom masterpiece! I give all the glory to God for this journey; He has made every step possible since the very first day I stepped foot in this country. My faith is the foundation of every handshake and every service we provide.
Now, I manage our premium client experience from my office, ensuring every job meets the flawless standard I’ve upheld since Valencia. Meet Brittian Malphrus, our Lead Technician and the expert behind our on-site excellence. Born in Ridgeland and raised with a true blue-collar spirit, Brittian is a relentless worker who never quits. From construction to painting, he’s done it all, bringing a “machine-like” work ethic to the Lowcountry. Today, he’s doing life here in the heart of our community with his beautiful wife, Carolina, and their baby, Langley.
I knew the moment I met Brittian on Facebook that he was the right man for the job. After testing many others, his genuine smile and passion for detailing stood out instantly. He had started his own gig but wanted to focus 100% on the craft he loves. I’ve taught him every OCD technique I know, and he has mastered them all, performing to perfection even in the wildest climate conditions. He doesn’t just work; he finds creative solutions when things get tough.
